Last year, an Employment Tribunal ruled that Kenneth Ferguson was unfairly dismissed by multimillion-pound grant-maker The Robertson Trust. He had been subjected to religious discrimination by the Trust and its Chair, Shonaig Macpherson.

Kenneth is an elder at Stirling Free Church, which believes that marriage can only be between one man and one woman. It was his association with this church and its beliefs that led to his dismissal.

Here he shares the story of his battle with Scotland’s biggest grant-making trust and how The Christian Institute helped him to ‘stand firm and see the deliverance of the LORD’.
