John, this will be a little long but worth the read.
There’s a lot at stake in the 2022 midterm election: our children’s futures, our economic recovery, our democracy itself. Here are some of the issues that are on the ballot this November:
1. Education will be on the ballot. My administration has made historic investments in public schools and closed the school funding gap without raising taxes, so that Michigan students have access to the best possible education.
2. Reproductive rights will be on the ballot. If the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, Michigan will revert to a 1931 statute criminalizing abortion. I’ve called on the Legislature to repeal that antiquated law.
3. Our state’s infrastructure will be on the ballot. We’re fixing the damn roads and bridges with the right mix of materials to keep Michiganders safe.
4. And voting rights will certainly be on the ballot. Extremists have been working since 2020 to undermine our elections here in Michigan, and I won’t stand for any attempt to take away Michiganders’ right to vote.
