Folks,
According to my pollsters, we’ll lose this race unless we launch TV ads as early as possible.
Here’s why: If Republicans attack me on the airwaves before I get a chance to introduce myself to Ohioans, we’re toast. They’ll launch nasty ad blitzes, spread vicious lies, and do whatever they can to trick voters into thinking I’m someone I’m not.
It’s a lot harder to change someone’s mind once they’ve seen a negative first impression. So we need to raise $100,000 by midnight tomorrow to get our TV ads up BEFORE the Republicans come after me. But we’re falling dangerously behind and I’m nervous.
I’m counting on grassroots supporters like you to help me set the record straight. Will you chip in $25 to get our ads on the air so we can win this battleground race and expand our Democratic Senate majority?
I’ve heard the insults Republicans are hurling my way, and they aren’t exactly clever.
Trump called me a “disaster” who is “laughed at.” JD Vance says I’m a “fraud” who “pretends to care.” Josh Mandel is telling folks I’m “soggy” with “marshmallow hands”—whatever that means.
I’m not scared of their schoolyard bully tactics. But Republicans are already spending $56 million to keep Ohio red, and they have millions that they’ll spend dragging my name through the mud from now until Election Day.
I am really worried that we won’t raise the funds we need to get our ads up first and make sure voters hear about my track record of fighting to cut workers in on the deal.
If we want a chance in hell at winning this neck-and-neck Senate race, we need to meet our $100,000 goal by Tuesday. Can I count on you to chip in $25 or any amount today?
Thanks,
Tim
