We need to put into law a system to prevent the government from spending over its resources. This is why I believe the Constitution should include a Balanced Budget Amendment, which I would fully support.
Arkansans have been forced to make difficult decisions in this tough economy during COVID-19 and the rising inflation. To tell them that Washington can’t tighten its belt as well would be wrong and completely out-of-touch.
If we can balance the budget in Arkansas at the state level, we can definitely do it at a national level in Washington.
