In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution to help me defend this Senate seat. Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.

Here’s the truth:

We may not know who our Republican opponent will be, but they sure know who they’re up against: 

Us.

So, while we wait, dark money groups and corporate special interests are running millions of dollars in attack ads against us.

While we wait, Donald Trump is rallying his supporters by saying: “Taking back America starts with kicking Mark Kelly the hell out of the United States Senate.”

We may have to wait to know who our opponent will be, but we cannot wait to raise the money we need to win. And with our deadline just a day away, I have to ask:

Can you split a contribution, $5 or whatever you can afford, between me and Jeanne today? Our fundraising deadline is exactly a day away, and we need to hit our goals. I would not ask if it were not so important.
