You are invited to join America's Promise Alliance's interactive livestream event on December 10 on trauma-informed practices in schools featuring community leaders, students, and experts in the field.
This event is part of a larger movement happening in schools across the country to create supportive environments that can mitigate the effects of trauma and toxic stress. Because their schools have started to shift their priorities toward becoming trauma-informed, we’re hosting this event in Central Oregon.
Join us for a discussion where we will:
- Hear firsthand from young people, school staff, district leaders, and regional advocates for youth on the importance of trauma-informed practices in schools.
- Highlight the efforts of community and education leaders in Central Oregon and St. Louis and bring community perspective into the national dialogue around trauma-informed practices
- Explore key issues related to trauma-informed practices like equity, Creating a Culture of Care: Lessons from Central Oregon and St. Louis, Missouri on trauma-informed approaches to support young people in schoolmeasuring impact, and broader policy implications
This work matters for communities across the country interested in implementing trauma-informed practices and learning from those who are already making it a priority in their schools.
We hope to see you there!
