I can’t stand corrupt, two-faced politicians abusing Montanans’ trust — and I know voters can’t either.

As it happens, our Republican opponent Ryan Zinke was too corrupt even for the Trump Administration, and now he’s trying to trick Montana voters into thinking he lives here.

So we’re going to tell them.

We’re aiming to place ads in local newspapers throughout Western Montana that directly call out Zinke for his corruption. Thousands of voters in key swing areas across this district will see our message — but it’s not going to be free.

As one of our top supporters, I wanted to tell you directly what we want this ad to say. As you may remember, a few weeks ago I headed up to Whitefish to the address where Ryan Zinke supposedly lives in Montana — but it turned out it was a literal hotel.

Montana voters need to know that the guy running to represent them in Washington — a corrupt and disgraced former Trump Administration official — actually lives in Santa Barbara, California.

That’s right, our newspaper ad will expose the fact that Zinke isn’t even a full time Montana resident — in giant lettering for thousands of voters to see.

Montana values are all about looking out for your neighbors and cleaning the clocks of dirty politicians and their corporate backers. But Ryan Zinke can’t help Montanans when his neighbors are all in California. And at a time when so many of our neighbors need their representatives to make this a stable place to live again, it’s shameful that Zinke is trying to trick voters and trying to represent us.

While Zinke is in California, I’ve been home in Montana. I’ve put thousands of miles on my truck in recent weeks listening to voters of all stripes and their concerns. And at the end of the day, folks are sick and tired of worrying about how high their health care bills will be, how they’ll afford housing, and if their next paycheck will be able to put food on the table.

The problems facing our community need to be addressed by someone who actually lives in our community — and voters need to know that person is NOT Ryan Zinke.
