The 2022 Regular Session is just a MONTH away!

In less than 30 days, the Louisiana Legislature will convene in Baton Rouge to begin deliberating a wide range of legislation. 

However, one of the key pieces of legislation they will deliberate is Gov. John Bel Edwards Executive Budget Proposal. 

If you cannot remember what Gov. Edwards has proposed here is a quick reminder: 

• $500 million for a new Baton Rouge bridge
• $500 million for water and sewer projects
• $100 million for the Lake Charles I-10 Bridge
• $100 million for the I-49 Lafayette Connector
• $60 million for rural bridges
• $148.4 million for K-12 teacher and staff pay raises
• $43.3 million for Early Childhood Education 
• $17 million for LA-4 Early Childhood Program
• $31.7 million for higher education faculty raises
• $550 million to replenish the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund
