Hi there -- Just yesterday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in our case against the president's illegal decision to rescind DACA in 2017. For over a year, the injunctions we won in the lower courts are all that's stopping President Trump from eliminating DACA and throwing the lives of 18,000 Washington DREAMers into chaos and fear.

These are young people in our communities working hard and educating themselves. Their contributions to our community improve the only country that many of them have ever known. And President Trump wants them to wake up every day fearful of the possibility of deportation. He wants them to erect barriers to keep them from working and going to school.

President Trump does not care about the most vulnerable in our communities -- and he doesn't care about the legal and constitutional constraints on his power. We shouldn't have to keep beating him in court -- he should learn to follow the law -- but until all Washingtonians' freedoms are protected, I'll continue using every tool we have to fight for fair play and decency.

We will not stop fighting to defend the rule of law and our shared values.

As soon as there's an update on the DACA case, I'll be certain to let you know.

-Bob
