Happy Valentine’s Day, John!
Today is not only Valentine’s Day though. It is also the first day of early voting ahead of the March 1st primaries in Texas!
We joined up with our partner organization Grassroots Law PAC to endorse an incredible slate of fighters for justice in their communities across the state:
*Zo’s not up in the March primaries, but making sure he has the resources now ensures he can win in November!!
John, we need more people in office who are willing to fight for their communities — not against them.
When criminalization is the answer to systemic, structural barriers that perpetuate cycles of poverty and addiction, it only furthers those cycles of harm that destroys communities.
We decided to partner with Grassroots Law PAC in endorsing this slate because we know that our fight is stronger when we can dig deeper to build a bench for transformative justice.
These are people who lead with love. And we couldn’t be more excited and ready to make sure they win their elections and can deliver on their promises of ending mass incarceration, strengthening systems of harm reduction, and re-invest critical resources to help their communities thrive.
John, the best way to send some good luck and love to these candidates is to make sure they have everything they need to organize — and to win. People are voting NOW and we don’t have much time left!
