Today, I’m proud to announce my endorsement for Jessica Cisneros. Jessica knows that real change comes from the bottom on up, not from the top on down. She will fight for the working class in Congress and together we will build a movement to transform this nation so that it works for all our people.

With early voting already underway, now is the time to show that our movement supports Jessica today.

Our progressive values are under siege from powerful interests. The gun lobby, anti-abortion rights extremists, Big Pharma, and fossil fuel giants are using their deep pockets to block progressive change in Washington and attack our rights across the country.

During times like these, it’s important that TX-28 elects a progressive who will fight for them and their families — not corporate donors and special interest groups.

The people of Texas’ 28th district are ready for change. They deserve a representative who will fight for working families instead of the 1%. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Jessica Cisneros for Congress.

I’m confident that Jessica will uphold our progressive values, and treat health care, bodily autonomy, immigrant rights, workers’ rights, and economic freedom as human rights. She knows our diversity is our strength and that when progressives are unapologetic about our values and who we’re in this battle for, we win. It’s time South Texans have a champion in Congress who does just that.
