If there’s one thing we learned from flipping the Virginia state legislature last week, it’s this: Democrats can win in purple states across the country.
It also proved that smartly investing our energy, time, and money really does make a difference. By working in the right ways—in the right places—we can win elections that transform governments.
That’s why the Swing Left plan to win in 2020 is hyper-focused on the most important states: The Super States. Check out all 12—including a new addition, Iowa!—on our brand new Super State pages.
We’re adding Iowa to the map because we’re on the verge of flipping its state House of Representatives; it has one of the most unpopular Republican senators in the country, Joni Ernst; and it has 6 electoral votes that would help Democrats win the White House.
We also built these handy new pages to make learning about Iowa or any of the 12 Super States super easy. Want to win Wisconsin? Would you be thrilled to flip Texas? Whether you’re interested in volunteering or donating, this is your information hub on each battleground state, which you can help win from wherever you live.
On each Super State page, you’ll see our strategy for that specific Super State, and some ways you can help win this state right now. We’ll keep adding more useful information to build out this resource, so bookmark the pages if you want to keep checking back.
And here’s something else new: Each state now has its own Super State Fund—where you can donate to the most critical elections in that state with just one click. To find it, select a state and hit the red ‘Donate’ button.
