We're almost there. The fight for the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) has lasted years – but there's a real chance that we could get it to the finish line very soon.

Here's what we know: PWFA is poised to pass in the next few weeks, and that means we'll need to keep pushing.

I'm going to give a quick refresher on this critical legislation below – but if you're ready to take action first, you can message your senator now and tell them to pass PWFA for the rights and health of pregnant workers everywhere.

Here are the key things to remember about PWFA:

• First, employers in this country can still fire pregnant employees instead of providing temporary and reasonable accommodations, like bathroom breaks or chairs to sit on.
• Pregnancy discrimination like this is an everyday reality that harms low-wage workers and people of color the most.
• PWFA is a bipartisan-supported piece of legislation that addresses these egregious problems by requiring employers to make those reasonable accommodations for pregnant workers without placing undue burdens on the business.

We can make this happen, ACLU Supporter. No matter what path is taken to get this bill through, one thing is certain: By any means necessary, we must push our lawmakers to finally pass PWFA.
