We set some aggressive goals at the start of the year, and after a great start, our fundraising has fallen off pace.
There are so many reasons why staying on track with our goals is so important.
First, our campaign is at the top of the ticket this year. There are no Presidential or Senatorial races that can help turn out voters, so Democrats are counting on my team to do some heavy lifting and excite voters in all three counties.
Second, hitting our goals this early in the campaign season enables us to plan ahead and build the backbone of a successful campaign.
Last, the race for control of the House is up for grabs. It could come down to the wire, and Delaware must stay blue if we want to keep Democratic control in Congress.
