What's love got to do with it? We are still here, after 57 years, because of your love, support, and belief in our work. We can't do this work without you. Thank you!

Love for justice is how we start each case, whether it's fighting the Brooklyn pipeline ([link removed]) , making private developers remediate toxic mold ([link removed]) in NYCHA apartments, or advocating for expanded access to public benefits ([link removed]) .

We also wanted to invite you to something special happening this week. In celebration of Black History Month, you are invited to join us for a talk honoring the life and legacy of Pauli Murray—activist, lawyer, poet, and Episcopal priest—whose contributions include co-founder of the National Organization for Women and a pioneer of LGBTQ rights. The online event, moderated by Executive Director Dennis Parker, is on Wednesday, February 16. Register for details ([link removed]) .

As the great bell hooks wrote, "We do not have to love. We choose to love."

Thank you for choosing love,
