For years, anti-abortion activists (and even some pro-choice leaders and politicians) have painted abortion as sad, painful, shameful, and heartbreaking. They’ve rehashed old sayings like “nobody wants an abortion” or the idea that abortion is always a “devastating choice” to make.

But these adjectives don’t fit with the reality of abortion. Give now to spread better narratives about abortion.

In fact, research confirms that most people feel relief after having an abortion, with 99 percent saying it was the right choice for them, five years later. [1] We would even take it a step further and say access to abortion isn’t just about relief, it’s about love.
