Even his GOP opponents don’t think he’s fit for office
Friend, indicted Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is one of the most scandal-plagued politicians in the country, and friend, he’s keeping the streak alive.
AG Paxton has been accused of breaking yet another law. According to the Texas Tribune, it appears that Paxton violated the state’s open record laws when he refused to turn over his communications records from January 2021 ahead of the attack on the Capitol.
Considering that AG Paxton spoke at the rally before the insurrection, it’s not hard to imagine why he would want to hide his correspondence from that month.
This newest scandal for AG Paxton comes in the midst of multiple primary challengers vying for Paxton’s seat. All three GOP challengers are making the case that Paxton’s scandalous past makes him unfit for office.
Paxton – and other Big Lie supporter AGs like him – have seats that are up for grabs in November. We need resources to mount a successful campaign against Paxton, or anyone who might win the GOP primary, and put a Dem AG in office who will fight for Texans and the rule of law.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, we need your support – will you chip in today?
