John,
Our extended Membership Drive is going strong, but there's
still one thing missing: You!

Support from new members goes so far to protect public land and
create parks for people who need them most. In the past year alone,
we've:

Created the Butte Falls Community Forest in Oregon. This
450-acre property offers hiking and biking trails, park amenities,
forestland, and more so that everyone can come enjoy the outdoors.

Reimagined Dominick Andujar Park in Camden, New Jersey, giving
people of all ages a beautiful outdoor place to gather and play
together.

Protected Meadowood, a 285-acre historic and culturally
significant property in Connecticut where Martin Luther King Jr. spent
summers working alongside other Morehouse College students.
Historians say this first experience outside of the segregated South
shaped King's worldview in important ways.
We need new members like you to create more community forests like
the one in Butte Falls, open and invigorate more parks like Dominick
Andujar Park, and preserve more historical sites like Meadowood.
It's all part of our strategic plan to conserve one million
acres of land, open Community Schoolyards(TM) in 20 underserved
school districts, preserve 1,000 miles of scenic rivers, and build or
connect 1,000 miles of trails.
But as long as your 2022 membership remains pending, the promise
of these and other public lands could go unrealized.
Please don't let that happen. Our extended Membership Drive
is halfway over, so please join us as a member today.

Sincerely,
Sabra Lugthart

P.S. Every $1 donated to The Trust for Public Land now saves $11 of
land. But without your membership support for 2022, land could go
unsaved, parks could go unrealized, riverlands could go unprotected,
and trails could go unbuilt. Please join us today.
