Dear reader,
On behalf of my team at the Prospect, I want to tell you how proud we are to bring you our special issue, How We Broke the Supply Chain. In case you missed any of the stories, you can find them all at prospect.org/supplychain.

We decided to write this issue because we felt the real story about our supply chains wasn’t being told in the traditional media. They weren’t talking about supply chains as a story about power—who has it and what they’re doing with it, and how we can fix it. They weren’t looking to history, to follow the trail that led to the mess. Oligarchs took over the most vital system of commerce we have, and made it so that it could be easily broken. We are going to continue to follow this story.

We will tell many other stories about ideas, politics and power.
YOU CAN HELP US DO IT.

If you value this work, if you value being informed about the most critical issues facing our lives, without superficiality or spin, and if you want us to continue,
I ask you to become a member today.

If you’re already a Prospect member, THANK YOU!

We don’t have a corporate benefactor. We survive thanks to readers who care about what we do. And we can’t do this work without you. In fact, if the Prospect doesn't do it, there aren’t many other places that will.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
David Dayen, Executive Editor
