Today is my wife Sharilyn’s birthday. I’m so incredibly grateful to have her in my life.
I was first attracted to Sharilyn because of her fierce independence. She could do anything. And now for 29 years, Sharilyn has been my backbone. Two beautiful, healthy children, dogs, trips, jobs, laughs and cries. We have had an amazing ride together -- and I want to show her my appreciation with a birthday card signed by you!
I’ll be surprising Sharilyn with the card tonight. Wish her a happy birthday with me and sign your name.
When we sat down at the kitchen table as new parents, Sharilyn supported my decision to leave the classroom to build a business in order to better provide for our family.
She has always been my number one fan. Without her love and guidance, I couldn’t be doing this today.
Looking back, we’ve grown so much together. I’m blessed to have an amazing woman by my side throughout this journey. As we head down the path leading to the Senate, I know she’ll continue to support me and the people of Iowa. Today, I’m asking if you could do the same for her.
