If you’re in need of a little inspiration about the state of our politics, look to Texas. Really.

Despite the uphill battle in a state where leaders have left their communities to freeze and ban reproductive health care, local progressive leaders like my good friend and former Austin City Council member Greg Casar are notching victories for workers and low income families.

This weekend, I headed down to Texas to knock doors and rally voters with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to send Greg Casar to Congress.

Greg’s primary is less than three weeks away! Can I count on you to give $13 to Greg’s campaign today?

Texas is experiencing a demographic shift, and voters are ready for bold, progressive leadership. Greg is a native Texan, a son of Mexican immigrants, and a community organizer. As a City Council member in Austin, he represented the city’s lowest income district and successfully raised wages for thousands of workers, ended all personal marijuana arrests in his city, and passed the first paid sick days ordinance in the South. And now, he’s running for congress.

2022 is a pivotal election year. Leaders like Greg have the potential to shift things for the better, for all of us.

I headed down to Austin this weekend to show my support ahead of early voting. Can I count on you to support Greg too?

Thank you,

Brad
