John,
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. It’s time to pick up those flowers, load up on chocolates, and get your Valentine’s cards written and sent off. And we have a few more special someones to add to your card list this year: your elected officials!
Valentine’s Day is about love, but it’s not all candy and hearts. It’s also a great day to show that you care about care, and to call for better care systems for all those we love. That’s why we’re asking you to send out virtual Valentine’s cards to your representatives, so they know that people who give and receive care deserve a little extra love this year too.
Will you send a virtual card to your elected officials today?
These past few years have been hard on all of us, but it’s been especially hard for those of us who give and receive care. And now, as we keep hearing that it’s time to get back to normal, many of us are left in the lurch because care has never been supported in a way that feels normal! All of the new care responsibilities that the pandemic has heaped in our laps (not to mention the ones we were already dealing with) aren’t going away.
That's why we're calling on our elected officials to show that they care by supporting caregivers and caregiving families.
To get started, click the link in this email. You’ll be able to enter your address to find your elected officials – House, Senate and President – and send them a Valentines message. Now isn’t that easier than when you had to think up the perfect note for every kid in your second grade class?
Will you be our Valentine, and send this card to your elected leaders?
Send a card today.
With Care,
