ICYMI: "Conspiracy theories abound in Republican battle to retake Washington's 8th Congressional District"
-- KUOW

John,

On January 6, 2021, a violent mob incited by Donald Trump stormed our nation's Capitol as Kim and her colleagues met to certify the results of the 2020 election. This was one of the darkest days for our nation's democracy, and it was the direct result of Trump's "Big Lie."

Now, the Republican National Committee is calling the events leading up to January 6 "legitimate political discourse," instead of what it really was – a dangerous attack on democracy due to Trump and his supporters' lies about the election.

Here in Washington's 8th District, Kim's Republican opponents are taking a page from the RNC's playbook by continuing to promote conspiracy theories, including Trump's "Big Lie." One of Kim's opponents wouldn’t say whether President Joe Biden’s win over Donald Trump was legitimate. Another baselessly claimed "absolutely there was fraud in this election and that should be investigated."

Kim's opponents are spreading conspiracy theories to prove themselves to the far-right fringes of their party. We can't afford to have Kim replaced with any of these extreme candidates, but we need your help to win this "toss-up" race.

Will you rush a donation of $5 or more before our mid-month fundraising deadline to help Kim defend her seat from her extreme Republican opponents?
