Ohio Democrats, Republicans' attempts at drawing legislative maps in their favor has been temporarily halted. Last week, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled for the SECOND TIME that the preliminary map of Ohio's legislative districts was unconstitutional.

The maps Ohio Republicans presented would have disenfranchised voters across the state -- especially Black and brown voters -- and they directly ignored the court's demand to make the maps reflective of the state's voter registration.

This is a huge win for us as the Republican-led redistricting commission reconvenes to redraw the maps. But we have to make sure we keep up the pressure to ensure the new maps are fair for every voter. It won't be easy, Republicans have plenty of tricks up their sleeves to keep the maps leaning in their favor.
