Liz Cheney for Wyoming a place that politics cannot go | Are we going to lead,

Are we going to lead, or are we going to be mere bystanders?

That’s what we all have to ask ourselves in the aftermath of the events of
January 6. I was not elected by the people of Wyoming to be a mere bystander.I
was elected to lead and to let the Constitution guide my decisions. That’s
something that willnever change.

Donald Trump is not someone who can ever be trusted with the reins of power
again because he has demonstrated that he will not abide by the Constitution.
He has sought to undermine the legitimacy of our elections and obstruct the
peaceful transfer of power.

When we see what happened as a result of the lies he perpetuated, we see a
place that politics can not go. We all have an obligation to tell the truth and
to put our allegiance to this nation above partisanship.

We need to go forward in a way that helps us beat back the dangerous and
negative Democrat policies. We need to be focused on substance, and policy, and
our concerns about the Biden Administration’s policies.We need to look to the
future.

work within the Republican Party is far from over and - for the sake of our
country - we need to succeed.
