I'd like to hear from you... Greetings, It's been an eventful few weeks, both here in Orange County and in Washington, D.C. As your Congressman, I've been working hard to represent our community's interests on issues big and small. Through it all, focus remains the same -- helping working families in Orange County live safe, prosperous lives, both now and in the future. This means working with both Democrats and Republicans when possible, and holding our leaders accountable for no one is above the law. Over the last several months, I’ve been working with both Democrats and Republicans to find sustainable, humane solutions to the ongoing immigration crisis...Not just because it's the right thing to do, but because immigration is an American issue that affects our economy’s well-being. I have pushed aggressively to pass legislation called the Farm Workforce Modernization Act to enable more foreign-born agricultural workers live with respect and dignity. Early this week, we took part in rallies in support of our Dreamers. As a member of the Homeland Security Committee, I remain concerned about our safety. We are experiencing more and more frequent acts of domestic terrorism, and now it appears that that they are coordinating their efforts with international terrorist organizations. I will continue to work with our local law enforcement, including the Orange County Sheriff's Office, and the FBI to ensure Congress is sufficiently responsive to emerging domestic and international threats. Congress’ job is oversight and again, no one is above the law. I will continue examining the evidence closely to understand what has transpired with the executive branch, the Department of State and our allies. And, while we address these complex domestic issues, I will continue to work with my colleagues to find productive solutions that keep our allies our country protected. Your opinion is important to me. Please take a few moments to let us know your concerns.
