Introducing Mercy For Animals’ newest initiative.
========================================
I’m so excited to share a project we launched on Monday. But first I want to
tell you about my friend Mike Weaver.
When I first met Mike, he was raising chickens at a factory farm in West
Virginia. He invited me to his farm to expose agonized birds suffering from a
horrific disease that was bringing financial ruin to farmers.
After flock upon flock of sick and dying chickens, Mike gave up chicken farming
for good and switched to growing industrial hemp. He will make more money than
he did raising chickens and employ more people––not a single animal will be
harmed either. Mike showed me the power farmers have to blow the whistle on
factory farming and help end it once and for all. [[link removed]]
That’s why I’m thrilled to introduce Mercy For Animals’ newest initiative: the Transfarmation Project
[[link removed]] . This is a partnership between us and farmers who want to quit raising animals
and grow plants used for plant-based products, like peas, mushrooms, and leafy
greens, instead. Farmers know our food system better than anyone and can be
powerful allies in constructing the compassionate food system I know you dream
of.
But we need your help to make this project a success. When you give today, your gift will be matched— DOUBLING your impact

Join us as we begin the transfarmation of our food system. Your gift today will help ensure that this and all our
other programs get animals out of factory farms and more plants into our food
system.
Sincerely, Leah Garcés
President
P.S. Are you an investor, an economist, a policymaker, or other changemaker who
wants to help build a more just food system with the Transfarmation Project? If
so, we’d love to hear from you
