POLITICO: “Army of millionaires fuel Senate primary spending spree”
Thanks to wealthy Ohio Republican self-funders, our state’s Senate race is gearing up to be one of the most expensive in the entire country.
Over the past decade, only seven candidates have put $10 million or more into their own campaigns.
This year alone, TWO Republican Senate candidates have moved over $10 million from their personal bank accounts into their primary campaigns -- and they’re both vying for Ohio’s open Senate seat.
Together, we can fight back against the money pouring into races in Ohio and across the country. Chip in now. >>

Take a look at how much the wealthy candidates in the GOP Senate primary are dumping into their campaigns:
- Mike Gibbons -- an investment banker endorsed by Rand Paul -- loaned himself OVER $11 MILLION for his campaign. That’s four times what he put into his 2018 campaign when he ran against me and lost.
- Matt Dolan -- a state senator and part-owner of an MLB team -- contributed OVER $10 MILLION to his own campaign.
- Jane Timken -- former head of the Ohio GOP -- put $3.5 MILLION into her campaign.
- And, Kellyanne Conway-endorsed Bernie Moreno dumped $3.75 MILLION of his own money into his war chest and he’s since dropped out of the race.
Our grassroots organization isn’t funded by millionaires or billionaires. It’s funded by people like you.
When we all work together, we’re a force to be reckoned with. Please consider chipping in today -- even $5, $10, or our average online contribution of $26 makes a big difference.
With gratitude,
Sherrod
