Friend — Earlier this week, the State Senate passed a medical marijuana bill that will now head to the State House for a vote.

After years of hard work and perseverance, this is a significant first step toward catching up our state to the 21st century and allowing people the opportunity to pursue alternative pain management through medical marijuana.

As your Governor, I’d be a strong supporter of expanding access to medical marijuana along with legalizing and decriminalizing cannabis use altogether.

This is both a public health and a criminal justice issue, and I’m not afraid to take a stand — even up against the same, tired arguments vocal opponents have been using for decades.
