Our chapter was thrilled to have Sara Nelson, President of the American Federation of Flight Attendants, speak at our at annual Douglass-Debs dinner this past Saturday. During her keynote remarks, Sara shared the AFA-CWA's plans to unionize nearly 25,000 flight attendants at Delta — the largest non-unionized airline in America, not to mention the most profitable. |

YDSA Georgia Tech wins campus censorship battle! |
|
|
When we organize, we win — and that's exactly what YDSA Georgia Tech did after being targeted by a campaign of intimidation and political repression by Georgia Tech’s administration in retaliation for hosting Jewish and Palestinian speakers who criticized Israel's unlawful military occupation of Palestine.
We are happy to report that after YDSA GT organized broad community support, an appeal to the university's original ruling was heard, and the university's decision to censor and discipline YDSA GT has been overturned. Thank you to everyone who stood in solidarity with our student comrades! Victories like this remind us that we must continue to organize for justice here, in Palestine, and everywhere! |
