Sorry, WHAT?! Friend, it goes without saying that African Americans ARE Americans – Mitch McConnell's blatant racism is on full display in this quote. But if we're honest, this nonsense is nothing new:

From his opposition to the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (!!) to opposing the Freedom to Vote Act, McConnell knows that the conspiracy-theory GOP doesn't have the vote. BUT he intends to keep power anyway – simply by curtailing Black Americans' fundamental right to vote.

Mitch McConnell is playing a dangerous game – one in which "Jim Crow 2.0" bills are the law of the land. But he's still got a lot of support from the Republican base – and if 2022 doesn't go our way, he might be Senate Majority Leader AGAIN.
