Today, we wanted to share with you the story of 8-year-old Waleed. Waleed hasn’t been able to go to school since an airstrike hit his playground in Yemen and left him with severely injured eyes.
While his family can’t afford the multiple surgeries it takes to restore his vision, support from generous people like you has made it possible for our teams to get Waleed two of the surgeries he needed as well as ongoing therapy. Our teams are doing whatever it takes so that someday, he’ll regain his eyesight and finish his education. But Waleed still needs two more surgeries to make a full recovery.
