As we move through Black History Month, I am reflecting on how I can support my community. As a Black woman running for Congress, I take very seriously my responsibility to honor those who have come before me and continue to lift up the next generation of Black leaders.
That's why I prioritize diversity in my campaign team. This is, unfortunately, a rarity in American politics. I am so proud of what our team has accomplished thus far, and I am so grateful to have colleagues as committed to flipping Nebraska blue as I am.

We constantly see history being made by Black Americans; for example, if elected, I would be Nebraska’s first Black Congresswoman. Just by running this campaign, we have already broken down barriers.
