Dear Friends, 

Are you struggling to keep up with your mortgage payments or other housing costs due to COVID-19 related financial hardships? If you answered yes, my office will be holding a Mortgage Relief Workshop to provide information on the California Mortgage Relief Program. The workshop will guide participants through the application process for the California Mortgage Relief Program that is being administered by the California Housing Agency.

Through the American Rescue Plan, which I voted for, the Department of Treasury will make available $1 billion in federal funding for California’s Mortgage Relief Program. Qualified homeowners will receive up to $80,000 in one-time grants that do not need to be paid back and can be applied to both forward and reverse mortgage payments.

The event is free and open to the public. RSVP is required.
