Team, when I was a student at Morehouse College, I was honored to march with two Civil Rights trail blazers — the late Congressman John Lewis and the late Mayor Maynard Jackson. Their commitment to the fight for voting rights lit a fire within me, one that remains to this day.
Right now, the Arkansas GOP is being sued by the ACLU for their biased redistricting maps that under-represent Black Arkansans. If we allow these attacks to go unchecked, we may soon find our rights chipped away and that no one’s voice is able to be heard.
I believe that if states have the power to restrict and shrink voting rights, they also have the power to expand and protect them — and that’s what I’ll do as Governor.
Arkansas needs strong leadership that values each and every vote. Will you chip in $5 and then read about my commitment to voting rights below?
I’m running for Governor of Arkansas to ensure everyone has their needs met and their voices heard — from Little Rock to Farmington, from town halls to the ballot box.
We’re seeing voting rights being attacked across the country — including here in Arkansas. Governors are our last line of defense for protecting voting rights, and I’m running to ensure every Arkansan can exercise their sacred right to vote.
Will you chip in and join me in the fight for equal access to the ballot box?
Thank you,
Chris Jones
