Early voting is critical to the success of these campaigns, John — because in a state like Texas, where gerrymandering and voter suppression is especially present, every vote counts.
And strong grassroots support matters in Jessica and Greg’s races in particular; they are grassroots candidates up against entrenched establishment opponents who put profits and special interests above the needs of their constituents.
If we can boost support for their campaigns right now before early voting begins — before voters send in their ballots and head to the polls — we'll have the chance to see long-lasting progress. Not just in Texas, but in similar communities all over the country.
