This week, Mayor Q was named co-chair of Everytown for Gun Safety’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

Mayors Against Illegal Guns is a non-partisan coalition of mayors who implement and advocate for life-saving gun safety reforms.

Kansas City is no stranger to the scourge of gun violence, and as a leader of the fight to keep our community safe, Mayor Q will continue to fight for commonsense solutions at the local, state and national levels.

We couldn’t be more proud of Mayor Q’s contributions to the movement to prevent gun violence.

Reducing gun violence in our community — keeping fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters alive — has been and will remain Mayor Q’s priority.
