Marjorie Taylor Greene is very disturbed.

Greene is a QAnon believer and Trump adherent who was elected to Congress in 2020 from the state of Georgia.

Yesterday, she went on One America News* and said this:

“Now we have Nancy Pelosi’s gazpacho police spying on members of Congress.”

Greene meant to say “Gestapo.” And it’s hard not to laugh at her confusion.

Just to be super clear, gazpacho is a type of tomato soup usually served cold, while the Gestapo was Adolph Hitler’s secret police force that coordinated the mass deportation of European Jews to Nazi extermination camps during the Holocaust.

Why was Greene — not for the first time — making an inaccurate and insensitive comparison to Nazi Germany?

Apparently, the U.S. Capitol Police found the office of Rep. Troy Nehls, a Republican from Texas, unattended with the door “wide open” — a situation that calls for them to conduct a security check.

Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks that a Republican representative having his congressional office checked by the Capitol Police according to established protocols intended to protect members of Congress is equivalent to the persecution and extermination of Jews by Adolph Hitler’s secret police during the Holocaust.
Tell Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene:

You keep comparing routine safety and security procedures — like wearing a mask on the House floor or the Capitol Police keeping you and your colleagues safe — to Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. Even when you get the words right, your comparisons are wildly inaccurate and horrendously insensitive. You should be ashamed. You should apologize. And you should stop.

Add your name now.

Thank you for taking action.
