This month will mark four years since a school shooting in Parkland, Florida that took 17 lives.
In those four years, we still have not enacted stronger gun-safety legislation at the federal level. In fact, it’s been over 25 years since Congress enacted gun-safety legislation.
We can’t afford to wait any longer. If you agree, add your name and demand common-sense gun-safety reforms.
School shootings are only getting worse -- even in the midst of a pandemic that has kept students from going into school for long stretches at a time.
Last year, there were 42 acts of gun violence at K-12 schools, which was the highest in over 20 years. In total, around 32,000 students were exposed to gun violence in 2021. And there was another fatal school shooting in Maryland just last month.
Our children deserve better. They deserve decisive action.
I voted for common-sense legislation that would address the cycle of violence in our communities and require background checks on all gun sales.
Now, it’s time to make that legislation the law of the land. Add your name today and join my call for strengthening gun safety in our country.

Dutch
