Hi John,

For more than nine months, coal miners in Brookwood, Alabama have been on strike. These workers—Black, brown, and white, women and men—have walked the picket line fighting for basic dignity on the job—decent health care, forced to work 7-day work weeks, low wages. You name it, the workers at Warrior Met Coal in union with the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) are facing it.

Solidarity is always important, but especially during strikes and collective action. It’s why we are joining with UWMA for a special online solidarity event on Tuesday, February 22.

You can RSVP for the UWMA solidarity event by clicking here, or by clicking the graphic below.

The event will be an opportunity for you to meet striking miners and their families, hear their stories, why they’re striking, and more. There will also be live music and you will learn how you can continue standing in solidarity with the miners during their ongoing strike.

So please, join UWMA, the striking miners of Warrior Met Coal for this special solidarity event on Tuesday, February 22 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT!

We can't wait to see y'all there!

In Solidarity,

Joel
