Elissa Slotkin's race in Michigan's 7th could decide who controls the U.S. House

Friend,

In a moment, I'm going to ask you to split a donation between Elissa Slotkin's campaign and mine, but first, I want to tell you why she needs your help so much right now.

Elissa’s never had an easy race. She flipped Michigan’s 8th district in 2018 with a little over 13,000 votes and won in 2020 in a seat that voted for Trump. Now 2022 is shaping up to be another tough fight.

This year, she's running in the most competitive House race in Michigan, and one of the most competitive races in the entire country. If she doesn't win, Democrats might lose the U.S. House majority!

If you're ready to protect our Democratic majority, can you split a contribution of $25 or more between her campaign and mine right now?

The Cook Political Report has officially labeled this race a “toss-up.”

It's no surprise. In 2020, President Biden won Michigan’s newly formed 7th District (where Elissa will be running for reelection) by less than 1 percentage point. While this new area is more rural, it still contains Michigan State University and Lansing Community College. That’s a lot of young voters, some of whom will be registering for the first time this year.

This is all to say, this race could go either way, and the work we put in now will have tangible results in November. That’s why we can’t let off the gas for even a second. Will you split a donation now and help Elissa win this must-win toss-up district?

Thanks,

Debbie Stabenow
