Voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) will be the focus of two presentations at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) 2022, which will be held virtually from 12 to 16 February.
An oral presentation on Tuesday, 15 February, will examine different levels of HIV protection associated with traditional versus medical male circumcision among men in the PopART trial of combination HIV prevention. It will be presented as part of a session on “HIV Prevention: From the Bench to the Population,” from 9:45 am to 11:45 a.m. MT.
In addition, a poster presentation will address acceptability and eligibility for oral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) among VMMC clients.
