Let’s send a movement organizer to Congress!

Indivisibles,

If last year is any indication, we need more progressive power in Congress fighting for the people, and that means endorsing candidates who will fight for a bold, progressive agenda in the halls of Congress. That’s why we’re so excited to announce Indivisible’s endorsement of Greg Casar in Texas’ 35th district. Our national endorsements elevate the candidates preferred by the grassroots, showcasing a new class of leaders who reflect the values of the Indivisible movement.

We’re so grateful to Indivisible Austin for nominating Greg for a national endorsement -- the process wouldn’t have been possible without their help every step of the way. So without further ado:

Indivisible proudly endorses Greg Cesar.

We’re proud to announce our endorsement of Greg Casar (TX-35):

Greg Casar is a champion for the people and is a proven leader with deep local support. Greg has spent the last seven years championing progressive policies including paid sick days, clearing the rape evidence kit backlog, passing the largest affordable housing investment in the South, fighting mass incarceration, and ending all arrests and fines for personal marijuana possession.

Greg believes that to truly take care of Texas and protect civil and constitutional rights, we need to override officials like Gov. Abbott through federal legislation, door-to-door organizing, and a stronger labor, environmental justice, and racial justice movements. He is running to organize and build the power of working people's voices in Texas.

Above all, Greg Casar is a powerful and courageous voice for the most vulnerable Americans, and Indivisibles can play a key role in making sure that he gets elected to Congress.

We’ll see this work through -- by registering voters, doorknocking, textbanking, and much, much more. Indivisibles can help change the power landscape, and endorsing progressive candidates is just the first step.

Our currently endorsed candidates are great, but we know that there are many more races out there where your group's endorsements, and a subsequent national endorsement, can make all the difference. Much like Texas Indivisibles, your initiative could catapult a local race into the national spotlight!

If your group has endorsed a great candidate for House, Senate, or Governor, let us know and nominate them for a national endorsement! All nominations are vetted by our team, then we send candidates our questionnaire, and then Indivisibles in the district vote on whether to endorse. Want to make a local endorsement but not sure how to get started? Our Endorsements Guide is a great resource on how the whole process works.

Can you tell just how excited we are about this? We’re ready to watch your groups throw all your political power behind these endorsed candidates and bring real progressive change to your neighborhoods, districts, and states!

In solidarity,

Indivisible Team
