For decades, elite Democrats have demanded unquestioning loyalty in exchange for ensuring the Supreme Court upholds Roe v. Wade, thereby upholding the right to an abortion as reproductive healthcare.

And yet, for many folks who can't afford to pay out of pocket or don't have the means to discretely and safely drive multiple hours to a clinic, access to an abortion has already been banned. State laws enforce waiting periods, parental consent, extraneous ultrasounds and unreasonable restrictions on providers — a war of attrition on the right to healthcare at a profoundly vulnerable moment.

Upholding Roe v. Wade, in exchange for ignoring the Democratic Party’s subservience to war and Wall Street, has not stopped the right to abortion access from being eroded, corroded, and denied for the most marginalized. That's why I'm asking you to donate to the Green Party today.

You see, the Democratic Party leadership relied on the Supreme Court and Roe v. Wade instead of fighting for federal legislation to guarantee abortion access. That opened the door for abortion rights to be hollowed out even as Democrats used the SCOTUS scare tactic to perpetually drum up campaign donations and shame those who reject the two-party duopoly.

And now we face the threat of the Supreme Court overturning Roe entirely this summer, capping off the Democrats' failed strategy.

We have to stop this cycle and take abortion rights out of the hands of the Supreme Court. We need a party that will fight to advance our right to reproductive healthcare, not just dangle a perpetual threat over our heads to ensure obedience.
