As you know, Kemp signed a backroom deal last session to create an unfair advantage in this race. When he thought no one was watching, Kemp gave himself the ability to raise unlimited amounts, while challengers like David Perdue had to play by different rules. That's unconstitutional and corrupt – and we took Kemp to court over it.
This week, the court ruled in Perdue's favor and Kemp lost his slush fund.
Now, Kemp is scrambling and wants to ram through another Incumbent Protection Act (HB333) to try and silence challengers like Perdue by preventing them from raising money. This is nothing more than a blatant attempt to rig the process and protect career politicians.
Once again, Kemp is trying to change the rules in the middle of the game. This is the height of corruption, but it's business as usual for a career politician like Kemp who has been running for office for over 20 years!
The Georgia General Assembly could vote on Kemp's Incumbent Protection Act (HB333) at any moment.
