Taking Back Our Country, Rebuilding Our Future



Dear Friend,

 

Can you believe it’s already February? I wanted to reach out and thank you
again for supporting my re-election for Congress. Last month, I kicked off my
campaign highlighting that – despite the mess Joe Biden has created in just 13
short months – I believe our best days are ahead of us. With your help, we can
return our country to what made Her great. Please join me in the ongoing fight
for our way of life. I am confident that, together, we will take back our
country and rebuild our future.



Biden Chooses China & Russia Over Hardworking Minnesotans

Our region received terrible yet predictable news recently when Joe Biden and
his Washington Democrat allies completely ignored science and banned mining by
canceling Twin Metals’ mineral leases. Rather than stand with the hardworking
families and union workers who make up our rich mining heritage in northern
Minnesota, Biden continues to align with Russia, China, and other foreign
countries that use child slave labor, further increasing our dependence for
invaluable minerals. Biden’s proclamation is a victory for no one and a huge

The Value of a Job and the Dignity in Working

The federal government needs to stop encouraging this labor shortage. In our
part of Minnesota, we believe in going to work each day and the dignity a job
brings. I am championing the Stop Disincentivizing Work Act, legislation that
specifically prohibits certain federal funding from being used to encourage
Americans to stay home from work. I have heard from far too many small
businesses owners who are struggling to find workers to fill their job
openings. This massive labor shortage was a preventable problem, and my
legislation attempts to curb that. We need to stop incentivizing millions of
Americans to stay out of the workforce, get our economy moving again, and get

8th District Republicans are Energized & Enthused!

While I was in Washington last week, I was pleased to receive reports from my
campaign team that many of you participated in Republican Caucus Night! I’ve
spoken with many who attended, all saying they were fired up and enthused for
the elections this fall. Caucus Night is the on-ramp to the 2022 campaign and
the first step toward victory. Starting next Saturday, Feb. 19, I look forward
to dropping by many of your BPOU conventions and visiting with delegates from
around the 8th district. Folks are fed up with what’s coming out of Washington,
and I join their belief that enough is enough.
