Advance Auto Parts has hired more than 360 workers who have autism, are deaf or have partial hearing loss in the past three years, and the company plans to expand the program. "This is a great, largely untapped resource for talent out there, and with everybody needing that talent, it just makes sense," says Eric Schaeffer, a diversity, equity and inclusion official at Advance Auto Parts.
Watsco reported fourth-quarter earnings of $78.9 million on revenue of $1.51 billion, both up from a year earlier. The distributor also reported full-year profit of $418.9 million on revenue of $6.28 billion.
Linde earned $1.02 billion in the fourth quarter, up from $769 million in the year-ago period. The company had quarterly revenue of $8.30 billion, up from $7.27 billion.
