On Tuesday, the House of Representatives passed the Postal Service Reform Act. This was a huge victory for us as a union, and now things are moving fast.

Just yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the Senate will likely vote on the Postal Service Reform Act before the end of next week.

This means we likely have less than seven days to influence the direction of this vote, John, so this is critical.

This bill will place the USPS on the path toward financial stability by repealing the onerous and financially debilitating pre-funding mandate, ensuring six-day delivery, providing for prospective Medicare integration, and adding much-needed transparency to postal operations – ultimately making our jobs as postal workers more secure.

This is a fight we’ve been engaged in for over a decade, and now is the most critical moment.
