I’ve learned a lot about winning tough races here in California's 49th District. The truth is, that's what it takes to make progress in Washington -- because no one member of Congress can do it alone.

I may represent a true swing seat, and I have another tough race ahead of me in 2022, but that won't stop me from doing my part to strengthen our Democratic Majority. That's why I started Elect More Democrats, and it's why I'm proud to announce our first slate of endorsements of the 2022 election cycle.

Now that new district lines are set, some of the most critical House races in the country have emerged right here in California. This is where House Republicans are most vulnerable, so if we're going to keep our majority in the House, it means electing Democrats like Jay Chen in CA-45, Rudy Salas in CA-22, and Will Rollins in CA-41.

Jay Chen (CA-45) is a Navy Reserve Intelligence Officer and local college board president who jumped into the race when he saw insurrectionists attacking our democracy. After redistricting, Jay's Orange County district is a “TOSSUP.” He's up against Michelle Steel who is best-known for known for siding with the anti-vax movement.

Rudy Salas (CA-22) has been a strong voice for Central Valley working families in the California state capitol. In Congress, he’ll fight for workers' rights and clean water infrastructure. His opponent David Valadao only narrowly won reelection in 2020 despite super PAC support. 2022 is our best shot at flipping this seat.

Will Rollins (CA-41) is a former national security and counter-terrorism prosecutor running to unseat 30-year incumbent Ken Calvert. He'll be a capable voice in holding extremists accountable, and his opponent voted with Donald Trump to decertify 2020 election results.

Take it from me, concentrating our support on House races like these will make the *biggest impact* in defending the Majority. If you’re considering donating this election season, giving early and strategically is the best way to do it.
