John,
Next Friday, February 18 is National Caregiver's Day, and our friends at HFC (formerly Hilarity for Charity) are hosting CareCon, a virtual event for caregivers. And you're invited to attend!
CareCon is a FREE, virtual event designed to educate, inspire, and empower Alzheimer's and dementia family caregivers with support, knowledge, and community.
Registration is FREE and closes on February 17. You can find more information and register at HFC's website.
Hosted by HFC Co-Founder Lauren Miller Rogen, CareCon is all about celebrating you and bolstering your caregiving journey!
Featuring celebrity-studded panels and expert-led workshops, you'll leave with new resources and connections.
I'm really excited (and a little star-struck) to be joining a panel, "Driving Awareness and Inspiring Change," about representations of care in pop culture and entertainment alongside Dan Fogelman (the creator of This is Us), Pamela Adlon (actor and creator of Better Things) and Lauren Miller-Rogan (producer, filmmaker), moderated by Lisa Genova (the author of the book, Still Alice).
Caring Across will also have a booth at CareCon, so be sure to stop by and chat with Aisha and Vanessa if you're interested in fun ways to increase your activism and advocacy on care and caregiving.
It's not every day you get to improve your brain health, find community, and laugh with an all-star cast of celebrities dedicated to supporting YOU: someone caring for a loved one with dementia, or someone who cares about someone caring for a loved one with dementia, or someone who just doesn't want to get dementia... you get the idea. HFC's CareCon is for everyone!
Hope to see you there! Register for free to attend.
With care,
Ishita Srivastava, Chief of Narrative & Culture Change
